With a resonant and captivating voice, Marie Glad is a Swedish singer-songwriter whose music balances effortlessly between pop, electro, indie, and jazz. She has released two acclaimed albums, Rescue Me and Bedroom Stories, and writes music under the Duvestar constellation, crafting a distinctive sound that is both intimate and atmospheric. Marie releases her music independently through her record label Royal Sister.
Electro-acoustic pop stories
Bedroom Stories is a collection of electro-acoustic pop songs about love in all its dimensions—the naked heart laid wide open. Written and performed by Marie Glad, and partly created under the Duvestar constellation, the album blends intimate storytelling with a sound that is deep, luminous, and full of hope.
Originally released as a trilogy of three-song EPs between 2010 and 2013, Bedroom Stories was created in collaboration with several songwriters and artists. The single Loverboy was played on 40 radio stations across India during 2010–2011. Produced in both Sweden and the UK, the project also features work by Irish producers Rob Spectrum and Oisín Lunny, known for collaborations with U2, Sinéad O’Connor, and Gang Starr. Bedroom Stories was relaunched as a complete album in 2026.

Rescue Me
Marie Glad released her debut album, Rescue Me, in 2009. Blending pop, electro, indie, and jazz, the album explores themes of lost love, resilience, and self-discovery through expressive vocals and intimate songwriting. Rescue Me received praise from critics, including the remark: “Her voice is as timeless and beautiful as Joni Mitchell’s, and her lyrics are warm and sensitive.” The title track’s music video, “Rescue Me,” was featured on Strictly Global, reaching more than 15 million homes across the United States.
